5 Ways That Cats Can Serve as Baby Accessories
Mar 18, 2013 | Filed Under: Funny Animal and Pet Photos, Funny Baby Pictures
If you happen to have a cat when you become pregnant, there invariably will be people who will tell you that you MUST get rid of the poor feline for any variety of crazy reasons — from cats “stealing babies’ breath” (has never happened) to cats’ dander making the air less “pure” (no more so than babies’ dirty diapers, let me tell you). I can tell you from experience that cats not only make adorable, harmless companions for babies, but can also serve as helpful baby accessories:
1. Cat as baby blanket.

2. Cat as boppy.

3. Cat as teddy bear.

4. Cat as protective belt.

5. Cat as toddler pillow.

Thank you so much for posting these photos & your wonderful words of wisdom over those ‘wonderful’ scare tactics that people use to freak out expectant parents that happen to have cat/s. I help run a cat rescue in the UK and we’ll have at least 3 calls a month from pregnant women who want to rehome their cats for no reason other than that they are pregnant (I currently have 8 cats on our waiting list needing to come into one of our fosterers just for this reason). When my daughter came along we had 5 cats & none of them caused any problems, just years of companionship for my daughter & us.

My pleasure! So sad to hear about the cats in need of new homes. We have three cats that we got from Persian rescue groups and they have been AMAZING with the kids! (Serve as “toddler pillows” all the time.)
