Having been through two pregnancies, myself, I thought I would share my expert translation services for pregnant women.  Here are some of the things people say when you’re pregnant — and what they really mean (complete with my own trip down big-bellied memory lane with my maternity pictures).

WHAT THEY SAY:  Oh my gosh, look at YOU!

WHAT THEY MEAN:  You’re huge.

WHAT THEY SAY:  So… are you due soon?

WHAT THEY MEAN:  You’re huge.

WHAT THEY SAY:  I can tell the way you’re carrying that you’re having a girl.

WHAT THEY MEAN:  You’re huge.

WHAT THEY SAY:  Don’t worry; I’m sure that weight will come off fast.

WHAT THEY MEAN:  You’re huge.

WHAT THEY SAY:  Sleeping must be really uncomfortable these days.

WHAT THEY MEAN:  You’re huge.

WHAT THEY SAY:  You have the frame to carry it off well.

WHAT THEY MEAN:  You’re huge.
