The Differences Between Parents and Grandparents

My parents are here visiting from Pennsylvania, much to my children’s delight (yes, mine, too, despite the fact they barely even remember my name whenever the grandkids are around…just call me Mama Cellophane…hmpf) — and their visit may or may not have (*AHEM*) inspired a few of these comparisons in my list of Differences Between Parents and Grandparents.

Candy Kirby is the founder of The Laughing Stork and a professional fun-maker who will never stop chasing her lifelong dream: to find the Pomeranian or porn star after whom her parents must have named her. She also used to be a staff writer for the soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, where she penned many scripts featuring prolonged heated stares and countless “Who’s the Daddy?” story lines.     Re #1, my son once asked me, in an incredulous tone of voice, if I had been 3 years old once upon a time. I told him that indeed I was, and that was why Grandma thought HE was so funny.

    Cold, your not joking! My gears froze on my pub biikeWh.lst I was cozzily warm having a couple of winter ale’s at The Windsor, my poor Ol bike froze up.Hope your not too bashed up Matt, Dave. The slippery times have arrived.
