Kristin Davis Follows in Charlotte York’s Footsteps, Adopts a Baby Girl

Sex and the City star Kristin Davis, who may just have the shiniest hair ever (irrelevant but true), is a new mama to daughter Gemma Rose, whom she adopted a few months ago.

“This is something I have wanted for a very long time,” Kristin, 46, told People. “Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed.”

The actress has been considering adoption for years, telling Access Hollywood last year: “You have to obviously think it through. Best case scenario, you’re obviously raising it with a father. It does give me pause to think about doing it alone. I feel like it’s a really hard job.”

That, it is.

Kristin, who has never been married, has been linked to Alec Baldwin, Rick Fox, Liev Schreiber and Jeff Goldblum in the past. (You certainly can’t say she has a “type.”) And now she has the love of her life, li’l Gemma. Awwww. I’m guessing she doesn’t snore nearly as bad as Alec Baldwin. (Just a hunch.)
