And Natalie Portman’s Son’s Name Is…

Aleph.

No, no, I did not sneeze or get something stuck in my throat; that is indeed the name of Natalie’s three-week-old son with fiancé Benjamin Millepied:  Aleph.  Pronounced ah-lef, Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, much like alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet.   It also means “leader” or “one who got stuck with a Hebrew letter for a name.”

Somewhere in Los Angeles, Bear Blu is breathing a sigh of relief:  Phew!  Somebody to take the heat off ME for a while.
