Weiner Puts a Bun in His Wife’s Oven

As if Huma Abedin’s personal life isn’t complicated enough, The New York Times reports that the wife of Rep. Anthony Weiner is expecting her first child.

The pregnancy, which the couple have reportedly disclosed to close friends and family (who in turn disclosed it to the media?), adds yet another dimension to the tabloid-ready real-life soap opera.

Weiner, 46, has admitted to engaging in salacious online conversations with at least six women over the last few years, including an incident last month in which he sent a photograph of himself in underwear to a college student in Washington state.  The House of Representatives’ Head of Online Affairs (see what I did there?) apologized to his wife and declared that they have no intention of splitting up.

“We will weather this,” Weiner said on Monday, during his emotional news conference. “I love her very much, and she loves me.”

But Huma, a longtime aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, has remained silent about the topic as she keeps up a hectic schedule at the State Department — and likely hits up Hillary for advice.

Well, we know Weiner has at least one talent that will come in handy as a new dad — he sure knows his way around a camera!
