Yet Another Surprise Celebrity Baby: Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni Welcome a Son

Sex and the City‘s Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend Christine Marinoni have welcomed a baby boy.  In other news, Christine Marinoni was apparently pregnant.  (Say wha –?  Man, that TMZ is really slacking, I tell ya!)

Yup, Christine gave birth to the couple’s son, Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni (try saying THAT five times fast), yesterday.

“Christine and baby are doing great,” Cynthia’s rep tells People.

Cynthia, 44, and Christine, 43, began dating in 2004 and announced their engagement in 2009.  Cynthia also has two children, Samantha, 14, and Charles, 8, from her previous relationship with teacher Danny Mozes.

Congrats, ladies!

As a hardcore Sex and the City fan (the TV show, not so much the movies), I feel it is only appropriate to leave you with this quote from Miranda:

Charlotte : What kind of diet book are you looking for?
Miranda: I don’t know. Something with a title like ‘How to Lose That Baby Fat by Sitting On Your Ass.’
