Breast Milk Satisfies — and Offends

This billboard from the Ohio Department of Health promoting breastfeeding has sparked a little controversy among folks in Ohio, with one Toledo resident eloquently noting:

“When I first saw it I thought, you know, I agree with breast milk, it’s fine but then I saw it with the milk around its mouth and I thought that was so unappealing. The baby’s cute, but I did not like the milk coming out of his mouth.”

Beautifully put.

Perhaps it would be more appealing if he had a cow’s milk mustache?

Although even I have to admit that is an awful lot of milk on that baby’s face.  I don’t believe my breastfeeding experience has EVER been that messy.  Poor kid is all, “Uh… could you put down that camera and hand me a wipe?”
