A Chance to Walk in Oprah Shoes

No, really, you can walk in them because Oprah is selling her shoes, among other wardrobe items, as part of a charity auction benefiting her school in South Africa.

With the help of O magazine creative director Adam Glassman, Ms. Oprah is cleaning out her massive closet and will auction 150 items — which should free up a small corner of the closet for her — including clothes, shoes and bags on eBay from March 1 through March 11.

As we all know, the clothes could come in a, um, variety of sizes.

“A lot of people give Oprah things they make but she’s really come to the conclusion small bags don’t work for her anymore because she carries a big tote,” Adam says.

“I’m willing to carry free designer bags of ALL sizes,” adds Candy.

And if you wear size 10 shoes, you’re in luck.  During her closet cleanse, Oprah discovered she’s not a size 10 shoe — she’s actually a size 11 — so of all her smaller Prada, Jimmy Choo and Ralph Lauren footwear will be auctioned off.

Before you scoff at Oprah’s big feet, I should tell you that pregnancy increased MY foot size from a size 9 to a size 10.  So please have the decency to laugh and point at our huge hooves BEHIND OUR BACKS.  Also, I fit in Oprah’s old shoes!  Woo-hoo!

The auction also features a collector’s item:  the jacket Winfrey and other members of the Chicago delegation wore to Copenhagen for the 2016 Olympic bid. Oprah said she would’ve kept the jacket if Chicago had been awarded the Olympics.

But alas… now the loser jacket can be all yours!
