Snuffles the Ten-Thousand-Dollar Teddy Bear

If you are like most people in America, you are probably wondering what to do with that extra ten grand you have lying around.  Well, wonder no more!

What could be a better investment than the Snuffles bear, which is valued at — you guessed it — $10,000?!  Snuffles is a one-of-a-kind plush bear showcased at the Gund booth at the American International Toy Fair in New York on Sunday.  He’s made with white alpaca fur, features black Tahitian pearls for eyes and wears a 10-carat diamond necklace with a white gold chain.

In other words, the Diddy of stuffed animals.

Sit down — you’re not going to be able to throw your cash at Snuffles just yet.  He’s currently touring the country with a burly security guard in tow.  Yes, the guard stands watch over the glass-encased bear, which is also protected by a red-velvet rope barricade — and experts say Snuffles could go for MORE than ten grand when Gund pimps him out at a charity auction later this year.

For that kind of money, Snuffles had better come with a big-ass Plasma TV.  And Hugh Jackman.

With thanks to Laughing Stork reader, Terry, for the story tip!
