Florida Identical Twins Born in Different Decades

A set of identical twins were born in different decades last week after being born on opposite sides of midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Baby Marcello was delivered by Caesarean minutes before midnight in 2009. His brother Stephano was born moments later — in 2010.

Juan Velasco, the twins’ father, said it would be fun for the boys to enjoy birthday parties on different days when they are older.

Somewhere, the hospital’s maintenance man is thinking, “Oh crap.  I guess I shouldn’t tell them the clock is actually off by ten minutes…”

Because sharing is caring, as I tell my kids. (Except my wine. Never my wine.)

  • My identical twin boys were born almost on two different days. One was born at 11:28 pm and one was born at 11:59 pm with ten seconds left to go!
