‘Scrubs’ Star Judy Reyes Welcomes Baby Girl

Scrubs star Judy Reyes has given birth to a baby girl.  From what I can tell, she bears an uncanny resemblance to Hello Kitty.   Crazy.

Leila Rey Valencia arrived last Friday, weighing in at 6 lbs., 7 oz and measuring 19 inches long.   Miss Leila is the first child for Judy, 42, and her boyfriend, director George Valencia.

The actress had confessed to being a bit nervous about becoming a mama.

“I’ve never been a baby person; babies always scared me,” she told Pregnancy magazine. “I’ve always been afraid to drop them or hurt them.”

You and me, both, Judy.   A few tips I’ve learned so far:  Do NOT use nail clippers unless you think your child has too many fingers and do NOT let her drink beer until she’s at least twelve weeks old.  Follow these rules and you’ll be just fine.

Candy Kirby is the founder of The Laughing Stork and a professional fun-maker who will never stop chasing her lifelong dream: to find the Pomeranian or porn star after whom her parents must have named her. A humor columnist for Disney, Nickelodeon, Scary Mommy, Reductress and Redbook, she also used to be a staff writer for the soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, where she penned many scripts featuring prolonged heated stares and countless “Who’s the Daddy?” story lines. Candy lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two young kids and three rescue Persian cats, the latter of whom are the real brains behind this operation (so send all complaints to them).
