Sarah Palin on ‘Oprah’? You Betcha!

Despite the brouhaha over Oprah reportedly “banning” Sarah Palin from her show during the 2008 presidential campaign (an allegation that Oprah denies), Palin has agreed to appear on the Nov. 16 edition of the chat show.  The subject will be — SHOCKER! — Palin’s forthcoming book titled “Going Rogue: An American Life” and who-knows-what-else.  Perhaps a critique of Levi’s appearance in Playgirl?

Going on “Oprah,” says Tom Rosenstiel, director of Washington-based Project for Excellence in Journalism, “is a way of re-introducing herself . . . to an audience that’s not political junkies,” although he adds that big entertainment platforms like this can also be a great place to break “big news.”  And I don’t think he means her new recipe for Moose Meatloaf.

Also, now that she’s unemployed, Palin probably has her fingers crossed for another car giveaway!

A humor columnist for Disney, Nickelodeon, Scary Mommy, Reductress and Redbook, she also used to be a staff writer for the soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, where she penned many scripts featuring prolonged heated stares and countless “Who’s the Daddy?” story lines. Candy lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two young kids and three rescue Persian cats, the latter of whom are the real brains behind this operation (so send all complaints to them).
