Burger King Gives Baby the Boot for Going Barefoot

A six-month-old girl displayed a shameful disregard for the rules when she entered a Burger King with — GASP! — bare feet.  The St. Louis restaurant, which obviously takes its “no shoes, no service” policy seriously, asked the little barefooted hellion and her mother to leave

The mom tried to explain that her daughter was only six months old and does not own any shoes.  However, the Footwear Nazis showed them no mercy.

That’s right!  Show some respect for The King, young lady.  No Big Whopper for yooouuu!

Burger King has since apologized for giving the two ladies the boot, offering them a free meal, and has instituted staff retraining.

When asked for comment, the baby sniffed, “Screw that creepy King guy.  I’m going to Wendy’s next time!”

A humor columnist for Disney, Nickelodeon, Scary Mommy, Reductress and Redbook, she also used to be a staff writer for the soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, where she penned many scripts featuring prolonged heated stares and countless “Who’s the Daddy?” story lines. Candy lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two young kids and three rescue Persian cats, the latter of whom are the real brains behind this operation (so send all complaints to them).
