Kid Kicked Out of School for Stupid Haircut (A.K.A. “Being a Teenager”)

This young man, who apparently has the other half of his hair on layaway, was sent home from school for, um, having a bad haircut.

Although the Staten Island middle school has no policy about haircuts and even allows mohawks, 14-year-old Dennis Reynolds claims an assistant principal removed him from his first-period math class and told him to go home — a claim that a school spokesperson now calls a “misunderstanding.”

And why such a lovely style?

“I didn’t want to go completely bald,” he said simply.

Also, because he’s a teenager.

Thank goodness my school didn’t kick out students for stupid haircuts — my parents would’ve been forced to home-school me.  I remember sporting a particularly awesome asymmetrical bob that made the right side of my head weigh a good five pounds more than my left.  I have a crick in my neck to this day.  But, MAN, was I cool!
