Yeah,we need to stop projecting our emotional depths and nuances onto men. They’re pretty much like dogs (in a good way!) – they really only need food, sex, sleep and occasional affection.
My friend’s ex has recently been spotted in the coffee shop where she goes every morning, and she was all “I think he went there because he knows I go there, and he thinks even if he doesn’t see me, people will tell me he’s been in there, and then I’ll know he’s going there and that means he wants to see me and probably still loves me…” ,ascribing all these schemes to him.
I was all ,”Um ,no, I’m sure he went there because he wanted a coffee and it was the nearest place.”
