End-of-Week News: A Mom’s Dirty Secrets; Angelina-Gaga Affair; Stage Mothers

A mother of three confesses her “dirty secrets.”  And, NO, that is not the beginning of a Penthouse Forum Letter.  Geesh.  (Trust me, I checked.)  [lilSugar]

Mom gets tramp stamp of a DJ’s FACE to score free Justin Bieber tickets for her daughter (who will no doubt think Bieber is, like, “totally lame” within six months).  [LimeWire]

Parenting advice:  Is sleep the most important happiness habit?   If so, that would certainly explain why I have been grumpy lately.  [Huffington Post]

Babble asks readers to vote for their favorite underappreciated Mommy Blogger.  The Laughing Stork happens to be on there (currently #7); however, I don’t want to unduly influence you, so I’ll just note that if you DO vote for me, a bag containing one million dollars will land on your doorstep.  True story.  [Babble]

I was going to vote for you, but Babble has some sort of redirection thing set up so that the moment they figure out I’m in Australia (by my IP address), I get redirected to the .au version of the site, where there is not, as far as I can tell, anything to do with rating bloggers.

That actually kind of annoys me. Why am I not allowed to go to the U.S. site? Is there some super-magic Americans-only stuff there or something? Seriously, what the heck?

Anyway, I hope you get lots of votes. I won’t be visiting Babble any time again in the near future, however.

Yes, the U.S. site contains the top-secret recipe for all-American hot dogs and baked beans! We can’t risk other countries getting their hands on that invaluable culinary delight.

    What the heck, indeed.

Thanks for trying, Bonni! I appreciate it.
