Relationship Obituaries: Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins

Well, this just ruined my Christmas.

One of Hollywood’s long-lasting relationships has sadly ended… Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have broken up after more than two decades together, reports People.

Seriously, guys.  Couldn’t you have waited until AFTER the holidays to break this news to me?  Not very considerate, I tell ya.

“Actress Susan Sarandon and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins have announced that they separated over the summer,” Susan’s rep said in a statement. “No further comments will be made.”

The couple of course met on the set of Bull Durham, a movie I have seen approximately ten billion and two times, and have two sons together, Jack, 20, and Miles, 17.

Susan, 63, and Tim, 51, were admired for sticking together despite the craziness of show business, their much-discussed age difference -– he’s 12 years younger (big deal) –- and the fact that they never married.

I haven’t been this bummed since Reese and Ryan blew my world apart in 2006.

No word on who will get custody of their extensive sunglasses collection.
