The Laughing Stork’s Fun Parenting Facts

The record for the most children birthed by a woman is held by Mrs. Vassilyev (first name unknown, presumably because the kids took it along with her will to live).  The Russian birthing machine, the wife of a peasant, gave birth to 69 children.  Yes, you read that correctly — 69 freakin’ kids.  She had 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets between 1725 and 1765, totaling 27 births. 67 of the 69 children born survived infancy.  The woman’s sanity, however, was not so lucky.

In summary:  Ouch.

Stay tuned for more fun facts!
