Sunday Afternoon Dilemmas
To fix the hat on the sleeping baby, or not to fix the hat (and maintain peace and quiet), that is the question…
If this had occurred three, even two, months ago, Mr. Candy and I would have tripped over our feet scrambling to rescue her from the horrible, eye-invading beret. Omigod, save our child! The hat is in her eyes! The hat is in her eyes! But today…?
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT WAKE THE SLEEPING BABY!
I guess it wasn’t much of a dilemma, after all. Mom and Dad’s sanity trumps baby’s sight. Because that’s the kind of caring parents we are.

Are you kidding? Sometimes I PUSH the hat into the baby’s eyes so that she has to close them and is more likely to sleep!

I know all about it. But then my mother comes and she looks horrified first at my baby then me “HOW CAN YOU LET HER SLEEP LIKE THAT?!” I look at the beautiful sleeping baby and go – why not?
Ohh she has forgotten the secrets rules of letting a baby sleep!
