Live from the Delivery Room! First-Time Mom Plans to Broadcast Birth on the Internet

Lynsee, a 23-year-old teacher in Minneapolis, is expecting her first child on November 19 and, because Tweeting is soooo early 2009, she is broadcasting the entire birth — from the very first contraction to the final push — live on the Internet.

“We wanted to document the pregnancy and create a one-of-a-kind memento for our baby to have forever,” Lynsee says.

Um, okay, but… why share it with the whole WORLD?

I know, I know; I thought the same thing:  Money, money, money!  Turns out, however, that she is not being compensated.  Although there are a few corporate sponsors on board and a local TV station helped throw her a baby shower at the famed Mall of America, all gifts were donated to charity.

Rather, Lynsee is donating the broadcasting rights to her vagina for Web site publicity:  The live feed will be available on the Twin Cities Moms Like Me site.  Moms Like Me representatives say that the goal of the project was to get more members to share and interact on the Web site.  Share, indeed.

It must be note that “Lynsee” asked that her last name not be shared for PRIVACY REASONS.  *Ahem*
