Kate Gosselin to Pursue Destiny, Become a Movie Star

In the best news I’ve heard since Steven Seagal decided to release his own CD, Kate Gosselin says she wants to stay in the limelight even after her show goes off the air — and become the next Meryl Streep.

“I’ve done enough years on TV that I feel like it’s a normal, comfortable, natural place to be,” Kate said during a Q&A session on last night’s Jon & Kate Plus 8.  “I’d love to be in a movie at some point; I’d love to be the voice of a cartoon character in a movie for my kids.  I think that would be fun.”

An Oscar can’t be far behind.  And Best Impression of a Cockatoo by a Head of Hair goes to…

Seriously, have you ever heard Seagal’s album?  Here’s a sample lyric:

“Someone took me to a restaurant and I had to eat something fast / I ordered me some chicken / They gave me alligator ass.”

John Lennon ain’t got nothin’ on Seagal in the song-writing department.

Candy Kirby is the founder of The Laughing Stork and a professional fun-maker who will never stop chasing her lifelong dream: to find the Pomeranian or porn star after whom her parents must have named her. A humor columnist for Disney, Nickelodeon, Scary Mommy, Reductress and Redbook, she also used to be a staff writer for the soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, where she penned many scripts featuring prolonged heated stares and countless “Who’s the Daddy?” story lines. Candy lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two young kids and three rescue Persian cats, the latter of whom are the real brains behind this operation (so send all complaints to them).
