Jennifer Hudson Welcomes a Junior

Finally, some wonderful news for Jennifer Hudson:  the Oscar winner and “American Idol” star gave birth to a baby boy late yesterday.  The little one is named after Jennifer’s baby daddy, David Daniel Otunga.  Yup, he’s a “junior!”

Junior weighs seven pounds, fourteen ounces.  Because Jennifer and David, Sr. did not know the sex of the baby in advance, they bought both blue and pink clothes, just in case — and likely received a LOT of yellow outfits at their baby shower.  Just a hunch.

The mama-to-be has been more secretive than the Nixon administration, never actually announcing her pregnancy. She simply turned up with a baby bump at a concert last winter, and let the fans and media speculate for themselves.

Speaking of super-secret operations, The Hollywood Reporter even has a special note for the paparazzi:

“Hudson is not where you think she is, so just forget it. By the time you read this, she and David Jr. will be snug as a bug in a rug far from prying eyes!”

I can relate, J-Hud.  The paparazzi were all OVER Skylar and me when we emerged from the hospital.  For some reason, they kept asking me if I knew the room number for Angie Everhart and her baby… not sure what that had to do with MY big tabloid spread, but whatever.

Congrats to the Hudson-Otunga family!  Wherever you may be.
