I had kind of the same thing happen - baby boy stopped moving, our lamaze teacher said to jiggle your tummy up and down, the baby wouldn't like it and would move. I decided to do this right before bed. Brilliant. Baby boy did not settle down for 4 hours!

I'm glad somebody understands, Cowgirl. Mr. Candy thought I was nuts. If nothing else, this was a wake-up call to make bathing more of a priority from now on!

I'm glad things are OK with Baby Girl! And I had to laugh at your hair-washing story. As a 34-week pregnant mother of a very active 20-month old, I have to admit that showers aren't always at the top of my list of things to do. However, I've now hit the stage of pregnancy when I make sure to get a shower every single day -- and wash my hair, even I normally only wash it every other day -- b/c I'm afraid I'm going to go into labor and get stuck in a hospital bed for 2+ days... I think washing your hair was a very reasonable thing to do. :)

Well, I'm glad Baby Girl is all right. Must be enjoying an extra appletini for a good job thwarting your 4th of July.
