Raunchy Line of Baby Clothes Upsets Family Groups, Grammarians

Family groups in Australia and New Zealand aren’t too pleased with a Cotton on Kids’ line of baby clothes featuring heartwarming slogans such as “I’m a tits man,” “The condom broke,” “Mummy likes it on top” and “I’m living proof my mum is easy.”
That is just not right. I mean, your DAD is obviously easy, too. Geesh.
“They’re risky, they’re coarsening and they don’t promote a decent family message,” Australian Family Association spokesman John Morrissey said. “It shows that they do not put any value on motherhood or families.”
Worst of all, they’re teaching our children improper capitalization! No way can I support a line of clothes that flagrantly ignores sentence case and punctuation marks.
The retailer isn’t losing any sleep over the outrage, issuing a statement that says:
“These products are intentionally edgy and irreverent and are certainly not meant to be taken seriously. The slogan products aren’t for everyone but there is definitely a place in our society for provocative humor that pushes the boundaries.”
Oh dear. It’s that same kind of dangerous logic that birthed “Jackass: The Movie.”
Well, I personally plan on dressing my daughter in attire promoting much more respectful and pro-family messages, such as “Mommy Drinks Because I Cry.” Awwww.
