Ugly Betty’s Ana Ortiz Welcomes a Baby Girl

While Mr. Candy and I spent OUR weekend going to keg parties (you know, the usual activities for expectant parents), Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz spent hers doing something a tad more intense:  giving birth to a baby girl weighing 7 lbs., 10 oz.

“She is elated and completely glowing,” said Ana’s rep. “She is surrounded by her friends and family and so happy to be a mom.  She is just really enjoying the moment. The baby is absolutely beautiful.”

This is the first child for Ana and hubby, musician Noah Lebenzon.  The baby girl –- Paloma Louise Lebenzon -– which I first read as “Palmolive,” was born on Saturday at 4:25 p.m. in New York City.

Baby Paloma has reportedly already uttered her first words when, in response to this photo, she exclaimed, “Is that Mark St. James poking me?!  Tell him I LOVE his work on the show!  He and that Amanda girl are a riot.”

She’s a precocious one, that Palmolive.
