Maternity Accessories That Secure Your Pregnant Jiggly Bits

The Laughing Stork is a family/pregnancy/parenting site of sorts — albeit a fairly crass one — so it’s no surprise I’ve started getting inundated with pitches from publicists hoping I’ll endorse their products. I worked in PR several lifetimes ago, so I’m no stranger to this process. There are some “mommy blogs” out there that exist solely to enjoy a windfall of free goodies in exchange for writing glowing reviews. Which is great for them. Win/win. I, however, cannot live on baby lotion samples alone. I launched this site with three goals in mind: 1) Entertain readers with my silly stories and, hopefully, give them a few chuckles along the way; 2) Build a community where readers feel comfortable sharing their own silly stories; and 3) Earn an actual living from all of this fun. And I believe the only way I can accomplish that is if I invest in readers’ trust, rather than sell out for free laundry detergent.

I only wish I’d gotten the Everyday Maternity BellaBand (that band underneath my tank top, holding up my jeans) sooner in my pregnancy because I’ve had a hell of a time with maternity jeans. “THESE jeans are too big!” “THESE jeans are too saggy around my flat ass!” With the supportive help of the BellaBand around the waistband, however, I sighed, “Ahhhh…THESE jeans are just right.”
Just call me Knocked Up Goldilocks.
The Ruched Tank, which does a flattering job of securing all of my jiggly pregnant bits, is not something I would ever personally wear on its own — but would be great for layering with a jacket, sweater or, of course, Baby Mama Poncho.
Some baby bump, huh? Now if only a company would send me some junk for my trunk. Then I could balance myself out a bit and stop bumping into walls like a Weeble Wobble.
